Gaura
Kin to the native Gaura lindheimeri found growing in Texas and Louisiana, our long-lived ornamental selections celebrate an open, lighthearted stance that’s well-suited for native or more natural-style plantings. Sun-loving Gauras are characterized by narrow stalkless leaves and branched flower spikes, which produce a multitude of buds and 1 in. wide blossoms, unfurling several at a time.
Gaura lindheimeri ‘So White’ (P-1521)
Each 10.75
Pure white 4-petaled blossoms with sparkling centers adorn slender, loosely arranged flower wands like luminous butterflies on a breeze. Hailing from an Australian nursery, this compact low growing Gaura promotes a willowy habit of narrow green leaves and green stems, which adds relaxed accents to nearby plants such as Aster ‘Bridal Veil’ and Artemisia ‘Valerie Finnis’. Asking only for good drainage, long-blooming ‘So White’ deserves a place in your garden, where it will tackle heat, humidity and some drought.
