Tucked amid a veil of silky hairs, down-cloaked bright cerise pink blossoms reside upon dew-catching feathery tuffets defined by filigree-style soft green leaves. A radiant central cluster of yellow stamens and decorative seed heads furnish additional enticements, while sharp drainage and fertile alkaline niches in the rockery or a favored container keep this precious perennial satisfied.
