Maiden’s Blush Hardy Fuchsia
Fuchsia
Fuchsia magellanica var. molinae (S-0889)
Each 11.50
A beacon of loveliness, a gardener’s delight and a hummingbird’s mecca, this 1767 southern South American discovery commemorates the Straights of Magellan plus the 18th century Chilean botanical author, Juan Ignacio Molina. Free-flowing from midsummer ’til frost, pendulous ballerina-style pale pink and ivory-colored blooms delicately dance amid the lustrous evergreen foundation that’s characterized by slender arching branches dressed with small elliptical soft green leaves. Ideal as a shrubby stand-alone, its versatile easy-care temperament relishes adequate moisture, good drainage, winter mulch and protection from wind as well as hot afternoon sun.
