Moroccan Daisy
Rhodanthemum
Rhodanthemum hosmariens (P-2327)
Each 11.00
Indigenous to Morocco’s Atlas Mountains, this long-lived, mounding silver sub-shrub earned an AGM for its compact fine-textured habit plus nearly year-round wealth of jaunty white daisies. Round black-etched buds unfurling pollinator-friendly, 2 in. wide flowers with prominent saffron-colored centers perch just above the snug low-growing stems and dapper ultra-dissected leaves. An effulgent 4-season beacon, Rhodanthemum hosmariens cherishes sunny well-drained niches atop stone walls or in alpine rockeries, Mediterranean plantings and containers, where it bestows generous winter blooms. Moroccan Daisy tackles rocky soil as well as deer, bunnies and drought, but loathes wet winter conditions.
