Fiber-Optic Grass
Isolepis
This unique sedge family member hails from the moist open environs found near the coastal regions of western North America, Europe, Asia, Africa, Australia and New Zealand. Adorning a snug mop-like hummock of flowing ultrafine bright green blades, the petite cone-shaped silvery blooms add a decorative sparkle and evoke the common name. Tailor-made for boggy areas, water gardens and containers, Isolepis cernua’s glistening evergreen habit relishes plenty of moisture, an early spring pruning plus a sunny indoor window where winters are cold.
Blooms April–October
Size: 10" – 12" high x 15" – 20" wide.
