Helianthemum ‘Cheviot’ at Digging Dog
Sun Rose
Evergreen subshrubs and members of the Cistus family, Sun Roses come from the Mediterranean. Tolerant of drought and salt spray, they exhibit the general hardiness that makes them welcome in a rock garden. Let them cascade over a wall or some other sunny, well drained location.
Tufted with yellow stamens, their fleeting, silky, roselike blossoms provide a luminous and continuous display against small-sized matte foliage. Capable of quick infill, combine the Sun Roses with traditional companions like Lavenders, Euphorbias and Origanums. Helianthemum ‘Cheviot’
In mouthwatering peach colors, ‘Cheviot’s dainty blossoms dress up its pearly gray foliage. Euphorbia ‘Red Wing’ highlights the splendor.
Blooms May–July. Size: 8" high x 18" wide; hardy to zone 4. Helianthemum Cheviot (p-1084) Each $6.00
