Asclepias tuberosa ‘Hello Yellow’

A magnet for butterflies, particularly monarchs, this native, drought tolerant perennial premiers sunny yellow blooms. Closely spaced, long slender green leaves whorl their way up a clump of stiff stems crowned with jubilant starlike blossoms held in broad flattened clusters that later manifest decorative seed pods. Exceptional as a cut flower fresh or dried, ‘Hello Yellow’ promises an irresistible, lengthy summertime display in the mixed border, appreciating well drained soil.

Blooms July to mid-September.

Size: 18"–2' high x 2' wide; hardy to zone 4.
