Dwarf Marguerite Daisy

Anthemis

Anthemis biebersteiniana full sun

Although its name is clunky, everything else about this tough-as-nails perennial is charming. Silver filigree foliage composes a compact, low-to-the-ground evergreen foil for pretty masses of petite yellow daisies on short sturdy stems.

Named to honor Baron Friedrich von Bieberstein, an amateur botanist who collected it during one of his many trips to Siberia and the Caucasus Mountains, the eternally cheerful Dwarf Marguerite is an undemanding, small-sized treasure that can be tucked into a well drained spot either in the xeric garden or along a pathway.

Blooms May–August.

Size: 10" high x 15" wide; hardy to zone 4.
