Echinops

Globe Thistle

Bees and butterflies adore Echinops. They are so easy to care for that you will too. Equally stunning in the garden or as a fresh or dried cut flower, their perfectly round blooms and statuesque profile bring intriguing definition to surrounding softer forms. Thriving in well drained soil, even if it is poor or sandy, the Globe Thistle is an undemanding perennial well worth making room for.

Blooms July–early September.

Size: 2-1/2'–3' 0" high x 18" wide; hardy to zone 4.

Most look fantastic in fresh or dried arrangements, while others produce welcome seed heads that birds adore. Be sure to browse our online selections of ornamental grasses.
