Thalictrum delavayi ‘Album’
at Digging Dog

Thalictrum

Meadow-Rue

Once upon a time, the newborn infant was placed upon a pillow filled with Meadow-Rue to ensure a prosperous life. Thalictrum means “to flourish,” and it does, with elegant foamlike sprays that resemble Baby’s Breath, and rounded, finely cut, compound foliage. Tougher than it appears, Thalictrum is the perfect choice for the border.

Thalictrum delavayi ‘Album’ full sun  partial shade

Distinctive for its gauzy white flowers with pale yellow stamens gracing sizable branched sprays, this classy clump-forming Thalictrum is grounded by finely divided fresh green Columbine-like foliage. 'Album's delicate upright silhouette provides peerless texture-rich accents that effectively contrast bold-leafed plants such as Hydrangea serrata 'Kiyosumi' in the mixed border.

Blooms July – August.

Size: 3-1/2' high x 12" wide; hardy to zone 5.

Customer Comment:

“I have wanted to write for weeks to thank you for the wonderful plants you sent in April!!  .... Have mail ordered for over 20 years, and I had to tell you how impressed I am with your plants.  All have moved into my garden with ease and bloomed....My largest order next spring will be with Digging Dog!!”
